Dear Nanopore Community,
We are pleased to announce a new release of EPI2ME Desktop. The highlight of this update is the availability of BugSeq analysis within EPI2ME Desktop.
BugSeq is a fully automated, cloud-based analysis platform for pathogen identification, interpretation, and reporting. This integration expands the workflows available in EPI2ME Desktop and makes it easier for customers to access BugSeq analysis directly within the application. Depending on the workflow used, BugSeq analysis can support recovery of microbial genomes, epidemiological subtyping, prediction of antimicrobial resistance and metagenomic analysis for pathogen detection.
For more information on BugSeq analysis, please head to bugseq.com
Prerequisites
Users will need a BugSeq account. Register at app.bugseq.com/register
Users must also be online, as BugSeq is a cloud-based platform.
Once configured, users can submit supported data to BugSeq directly from EPI2ME Desktop. Setup and submission are handled in EPI2ME Desktop, while the analysis occurs in BugSeq’s cloud infrastructure. A summary report will be returned to EPI2ME Desktop once analysis is complete. More detailed reports are provided on the BugSeq platform.
Please note that billing and account management for BugSeq are handled through the BugSeq account portal.
